CoderEmbassy Quantity Manager Pro for WooCommerce
v1.1.0Advanced quantity rules and storefront controls for WooCommerce.
📖 Overview
CoderEmbassy Quantity Manager Pro extends CoderEmbassy Quantity Manager for WooCommerce with scheduled, customer-role, category and tag quantity rules. Set minimum, maximum, step and default quantities, customize validation messages, and choose which advanced rule takes priority.
Use the rule overview and simulator to understand which saved rule applies to a product or variation for a selected customer. Customize plugin-generated plus/minus buttons, add quantity prefixes and suffixes, control informational message placement, and display live estimated product totals.
Pro requires WooCommerce and CoderEmbassy Quantity Manager version 1.1.0 or newer. Keep both the core plugin and Pro add-on active. Manage settings under WooCommerce > Quantity Manager > Advanced Rules. Save each settings section you change; switching tabs does not save changes.

🎯 Feature Guides
Create a scheduled quantity rule
Apply quantity limits during one date-and-time window.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Schedule.
- 2
Enable the scheduled rule and enter its start and end using the site timezone.
- 3
Enter minimum, maximum, step and default quantities.
- 4
Optionally enter a custom error message.
- 5
Save the scheduled rule and test a matching product in the simulator.
Check Priority when another advanced rule applies to the same customer and product.
The current implementation supports one window, not recurring schedules. The schedule can apply storewide where higher-priority rules do not override it.
Set customer-role quantity rules
Apply different quantity requirements to a selected logged-in role.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Customer Roles.
- 2
Enable the role rule and select the customer role.
- 3
Enter quantities and an optional custom error message.
- 4
Save the role rule.
- 5
Test with a specific user who has the selected role.
Use Guest customer in the simulator to compare the result for visitors who are not logged in.
The current implementation supports one selected role rule. Product and variation overrides remain higher priority.
Configure category and tag rules
Apply quantity rules to products assigned to a selected category or tag.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Categories & Tags.
- 2
Enable the category rule, the tag rule, or both.
- 3
Select the relevant terms and enter their quantities.
- 4
Save the rules.
- 5
Test a product assigned to the selected terms.
If both rules match, their order in Priority determines which one wins.
The current implementation supports one category rule and one tag rule. Selecting a parent category does not automatically include products assigned only to its child categories.
Choose rule priority
Control which advanced source wins when multiple rules match.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Priority.
- 2
Arrange the Pro rule sources in the desired order.
- 3
Save the priority settings.
- 4
Open Overview to review the order and use the simulator to check a product.
Place customer-role rules above scheduled rules when role-specific limits should take precedence.
Variation and product overrides remain above Pro sources. The winning rule supplies the quantity settings; matching rules are not combined field by field.
Test a product with the simulator
Check the saved quantity rule for a product and customer without creating an order.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Simulator & Transfer.
- 2
Search for a product or variation by name or SKU.
- 3
Choose current admin user, guest customer or a specific user.
- 4
For a specific user, search for and select the account.
- 5
Enter a test quantity and click Run simulator.
- 6
Review the winning source, quantities and allowed or blocked result.
The User search field is disabled for current admin and guest contexts because no separate account selection is needed.
The simulator uses saved settings and the current time. A valid quantity result does not guarantee stock availability or a successful checkout.
Customize quantity controls
Style plugin-generated buttons and add quantity labels.
- 1
Enable plus/minus controls in the core plugin settings.
- 2
Open Advanced Rules > Quantity Controls.
- 3
Choose the design preset, size, corners and colors, then inspect the live preview.
- 4
Save the design settings.
- 5
Enter optional prefix and suffix text and save that section separately.
- 6
For individual overrides, edit the product or variation and save its settings.
Use short labels such as Qty and packs to keep the control compact.
The plugin avoids adding duplicate buttons where existing controls are detected. Pro styling does not modify third-party controls, and labels do not convert units.
Change informational message placement
Show, hide or reposition the quantity summary.
- 1
Open the message display section under Advanced Rules > Quantity Controls.
- 2
Enable or disable the informational summary.
- 3
Select above quantity controls, below quantity controls or after add to cart.
- 4
Save the message display settings and check a product page.
Keep the summary close to the quantity input when customers need to understand pack sizes.
Hiding the informational summary does not hide validation errors or disable quantity enforcement.
Display live estimated totals
Show an estimated product total as the customer changes quantity.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Pricing.
- 2
Enable Show live total.
- 3
Choose the storefront position, display style, corners and colors.
- 4
Check the live preview and save the settings.
- 5
On a product page, change quantity and select a variation where applicable.
Choose Below product price or Above quantity controls to show the estimate before the purchase controls.
This is a display estimate, not tiered pricing or a discount engine. It does not change cart calculations or include a complete checkout total. Sold-individually products are excluded.
Export and import rule settings
Transfer supported advanced rule settings as JSON.
- 1
Open Advanced Rules > Simulator & Transfer.
- 2
Generate an export and retain the JSON as a backup.
- 3
Before importing, export the destination site's current rules.
- 4
Paste the exported JSON into Import JSON and click Import settings.
- 5
Review the imported rules and run the simulator.
Check category and tag IDs when transferring settings between websites.
Transfer covers priority, schedule, role, category and tag settings only. It excludes core settings, product and variation metadata, display customizations and licenses. Category and tag IDs are not automatically remapped between sites.
